How to Transform Organizations and Help People Grow

I view the rise of the industrial metaverse as a positive disruption. I also view humanity as far more capable and advanced to deal with gigantic waves of change.

The article’s content results from my curiosity and inquiry into the topics of interest to me, and presumably to many others. It is offered to instigate dialogue and invite joint thinking and collaboration. It is not deemed right or “true” — I am sharing my point of view and recommendations on the way forward based on my experience.

You’ve Got the Moves

  • Data management and insights generation: build new types of skill set and technology hand-in-hand.
  • Business solutions and augmented mobile apps: gain market insights and understand trends.
  • Shifting control and value to end users: decentralize data, provide training and drive cultural transformation.
  • Data storage and management, including regulatory and technology aspects: reinvigorate integrity and compliance.
  • Understanding privacy and digital identity, and managing and protecting that information: have clear policies and procedures.
  • Change execution and leadership: develop change agility and resilience.
  • Culture and Employee Experience: rehumanize work in the new context — “the intimate relationship between the skill sets and the mindsets we cultivate” (Brené Brown).
  • Attracting and retaining talent: develop competitive offerings based on relevance, flexibility and choice.
  • Maintaining a fair, unbiased and inclusive workplace: integrate diversity, equity and inclusion in every aspect of the work.
  • Improving performance, managing turnover and health: apply insights from dashboards and analytics, and build dialogue.

I view the rise of the industrial metaverse as a positive disruption. I also view humanity as far more capable and advanced to deal with the gigantic waves of change in a far better way than what we have seen throughout human history. I trust common sense and the awakening power of masses all around the world. It’ll be continued innovation and advanced technology that’ll help equalize the power and influence of generations, and that of the ones who care. I do not underestimate the role industry players, policymakers, and thought leaders must play in developing essential protocols and governance in a transparent manner based on worldwide collaboration. The continued technological development will be a driver of restructuring and it’ll be inevitable. How we will go through it and how we view our roles to influence it will matter. New roles will be emerging — ethicists, auditors and content creators are just the beginning.

These technologies can offer companies greater efficiency, effectiveness, and transparency, allowing them to focus on their mission — ultimately strengthening their reputation and connections with their customers. Businesses that are able to use these solutions effectively will be well-positioned to drive innovation and gain a competitive advantage. Equally, there’s a lot at stake. An unmissable opportunity has been emerging for HR to lead from the front, work through the tsunami of information, assumptions, fears and beliefs, and play a critical role in this revolution. Exploration, joint learning and collaboration with Finance and IT will be key on the journey — the opportunity and accountability that lie ahead of the People Function are outstanding.
